This year, we celebrate 28 years since Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Goswami Maharaja, our beloved Srila Gurudeva, arrived in the Western World. As Srila Gurudeva came here that very first year, it is with great joy and excitement that we are announcing the 28th annual New Braj Harikatha Festival from June 17th thru June 23rd, 2024.
Srila Gurudeva established the New Braj Harikatha Festival in 1996 and for fifteen years, he shared his heart through his classes here. New Braj is thus saturated with the dust of his lotus feet and his transcendental moods. Every year, we invite honored guests to speak on the specialties of his teachings along with those of Srila Prabhupada and our whole Guru Paramapara.
We hope you’ll make space in your summer for a captivating week of harikatha, kirtan, prasadam and devotional entertainment. The performances of drama plays and Bharat Natyam dances enhance everyone’s absorption in the daily Harikatha. Come see the pastime of Mahaprabhu’s first sankirtan party and His defeat of the Chand Kazi as well an adaption of Madhurya Kadambini and a sweet Radha Krsna pastime performed by the New Braj and Hawaii Gurukula children.
By Srila Gurudeva’s mercy every year we celebrate a special highlight of the festival, Annakuta Maha Mahotsava, Sri Govardhan Puja. Please join us on Saturday, June 22nd, as we worship Sri Giriraja Govardhan, the cows, and the Vaisnavas, and offer hundreds of delicious preparations to Giriraja Maharaja.
